By Richelle (JustKTravel) โข Updated July 2026
Table of Contents
ToggleGwangalli Beach is one of those places in Busan that I always find myself coming back to.
ย
One of my favorite things to do in Gwangalli is arrive in the late afternoon, walk along the beach, and choose a restaurant before the bridge lights come on. During my visits, Iโve discovered that some of the best meals are not always found directly on the beachfront but hidden on the streets just behind it.
ย
There is something special about sitting by the ocean, watching the waves, and seeing Gwangan Bridge slowly light up as the sun goes down. Many visitors come here for the beautiful night view, but for me, a visit to Gwangalli is never complete without enjoying good Korean food nearby.
ย
After exploring Busan several times, Iโve noticed that many first-time visitors stay around the main beach area, enjoying the cafรฉs and ocean views, but they often miss the local restaurants nearby. Some of my favorite meals in Busan have come from these hidden spots where you can experience authentic Korean dishes in a more local atmosphere.
ย
From warm bowls of pork soup and fresh seafood to Korean barbecue and traditional dishes, Gwangalli has plenty of restaurants worth discovering beyond the usual tourist spots.
ย
In this guide, Iโll share my recommended restaurants near Gwangalli Beach, including what to order, estimated prices, location tips, and helpful information to make your first Busan food adventure easier.
ย
If youโre exploring more of Busanโs food scene, you might also enjoy my guide to 10 Best Restaurants Near Haeundae Beach, Busan: Local Favorites & Hidden Gems, another great area to discover delicious Korean food by the ocean.

๐ก Helpful Tips for Eating Near Gwangalli Beach
After visiting Gwangalli several times, here are a few things I’ve learned that can make your visit much easier:
Arrive before 6:00 PM if you plan to have dinner on a weekend. Restaurants fill up quickly once people arrive for sunset.
If you’re hoping to watch the Gwangan Bridge lights or drone show (when scheduled), eat a little earlier so you can find a good viewing spot.
Traveling alone? Restaurants like Solsot, Busan Tobagi Dwaeji Gukbap, and Dongmyeon Sik Milmyeon are excellent choices because they serve individual portions.
Many Korean BBQ and seafood restaurants are designed for sharing, so they’re better if you’re traveling with at least one other person.
Don’t be afraid of Korean side dishes (banchan). They’re included with most meals and are free to refill at many restaurants.
๐๏ธ Nearby Attractions to Visit After Your Meal
One of the best things about eating in Gwangalli is that you donโt need to plan another trip afterward. Most attractions are just a short walk from the restaurants.
ย
After your meal, take a relaxing walk along Gwangalli Beach and enjoy the beautiful night view of Gwangan Bridge. The atmosphere is especially nice in the evening when the bridge lights up. If you visit on a Saturday, check the schedule for the famous Gwangalli M Drone Light Show, which is one of Busanโs most unique nighttime experiences.
ย
You can also stop by the many oceanfront cafรฉs, grab a drink from a convenience store, take photos by the beach, or simply sit on the sand and enjoy the sea breeze. Itโs the perfect way to end a meal in Gwangalli. Busan Yacht Tour Haeundae Gwangalli The Bay 101 Yacht tale
