🇰🇷 My Korea Journey

My journey with South Korea began in 2014 when I first discovered its unique culture, food, traditions, and everyday life.

Over time, my curiosity about Korea grew into a deeper connection. I’ve explored destinations across the country, from bustling cities and coastal towns to cultural landmarks, seasonal festivals, and local spots beyond the usual tourist routes.

After years of exploring Korea, I eventually made South Korea my home. Living here for over 6 years has allowed me to experience Korea beyond a short vacation and understand the small details that can make traveling easier for international visitors.

Most of my travels are done solo and independently, using Korea’s excellent public transportation system. Whether it’s navigating Seoul’s subway network, taking the KTX to Busan, riding local buses in Jeju, or discovering lesser-known destinations, I enjoy experiencing Korea the same way many travelers do—without expensive tours and with a focus on practical, budget-friendly travel.

What started as a passion for exploring Korea and sharing travel tips with friends gradually grew into Just KTravel—a website dedicated to helping international visitors plan better trips and travel Korea with confidence.

Through this blog, I share practical travel guides, accommodation recommendations, transportation tips, and itinerary ideas based on firsthand experience, research, and regularly updated information.

My goal is simple: to make traveling in South Korea easier, more affordable, and more enjoyable for every visitor.

I’ve learned how to navigate Korea’s transportation system, discover local places, find affordable options, and plan trips in a way that feels comfortable and realistic for travelers.

🚆 Exploring Korea Through Solo & DIY Travel

Most of my adventures around Korea have been solo and independently planned.

I enjoy discovering Korea at my own pace—taking the subway, riding local buses, using the KTX, trying local restaurants, visiting seasonal festivals, and exploring destinations beyond the typical tourist routes.

Korea’s excellent public transportation system makes independent travel possible, and I want to show other travelers that you can experience Korea without expensive tours.

💡 Why I Created Just KTravel

Over the years, friends and fellow travelers started asking me questions about Korea:

Where should I stay?

How do I get there?

Which places are worth visiting?

How can I plan my trip more easily?

I realized many visitors needed simple, practical, and reliable information based on real experiences.

That’s how Just KTravel was created.

Through this blog, I share travel guides, transportation tips, itinerary ideas, accommodation recommendations, and practical advice based on my experiences living and traveling in Korea.

My goal is simple: to make traveling in South Korea easier, more affordable, and less overwhelming—especially for first-time visitors.
